About Pamela Stephenson Connolly

Pamela Stephenson Connolly, founder of the Key West International Dance Company, arrived in Key West from New York City in 2016. Dance has been her passion since the age of five. She studied ballet and performed with London’s Festival Ballet Company, later renamed English National Ballet, before embarking on a versatile career in acting, comedy, psychology, writing, and international stage and television performances. Pamela became a cast member on Saturday Night Live and participated in the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

After relocating to Key West, Pamela channeled her passion into the local dance community. She established Pasión Studio on Southard Street, where she connected her extensive experience and network of internationally acclaimed dancers. Pamela's commitment to dance led her to create professional dance groups like Key West Dancers and choreograph award-winning performances, including the Pasión Project Dancers, who won “Best in Entertainment” at Fantasy Fest Parade. 

Pamela's dedication to fostering a vibrant dance culture in Key West shines through her support for aspiring dancers and her grace in navigating change. Her contributions have made a significant impact on the local arts community, ensuring that dance remains vital and accessible in Key West and beyond.
